Intern Spotlight: Jasmine Dunklin

Jasmine studied Marketing at Virginia State University. She is very passionate about working in PR and is excited to be gaining experience in the industry. Jasmine has served a diverse range of clients in many industries with her most exciting clients being tech or nonprofit. She has the heart to serve others and truly believes in using her abilities to lend a helping hand. Jasmine is also interested in learning more about crisis monitoring and reputation management and is looking forward to working with the team to develop the skills needed for a career in PR and Communications.

What made you want to intern with Sage?

I wanted to intern with Sage in order to gain more PR experience. Having exposure to a diverse range of clients from tech to the public sector is a great opportunity.

What is the most exciting thing you have worked on so far?

The most exciting thing I have worked on was flagging media coverage to a client for their annual report. The client was very pleased with the team securing coverage in 10 publications.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned at Sage?

The most important lesson I’ve learned at Sage is the importance of building and maintaining relationships. This is crucial to do with anyone you are working with, regardless of their position at the time or if they're supporting marketing or PR objectives.

What are your long-term career goals?

One of my long-term career goals is to develop more leadership skills. I want to be in a leadership role where I can mentor others.
